Becoming a certified Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP) requires completing approved personal sessions and consultations at various training levels. However, finding the right provider in Canada—one who is officially approved by Somatic Experiencing®  International and for the level you need—can be a challenge.

Those listed in this directory are approved SE™ Credit Providers, approved by Somatic Experiencing International(SEI).

They are Canadian SEP practitioners approved by SEI to provide personal sessions and case consults. These approved Canadian practitioners assist SE trainees to receive credit towards their SE program requirements

SE Trainees: Please consult your SE Practitioner Session Log  for guidance about the required hours.

There are two separate credits required towards the SE program completion. They are as follows:

Personal Session Providers provide direct personal experience of the SE method in Personal Sessions, enhancing SE class participants’ learning of SE, and providing an example of how SE can be incorporated into various practice modalities.

Case Consultation Providers help SE students deepen their understanding of SE principles and methods in relation to their own practice modality, help them integrate SE effectively into their particular practice settings, and provide support for developing participants’ individualized practice of SE with their clients.

The experience of receiving Personal Sessions and Case Consultations will vary for each provider based on their individual practice or modality, scope of practice, and integration of SE.

SE Personal Session and Case Consult Providers is a fee-based service. Fees are set by the individual providers and vary. Please contact the individual provider for their session rate fee.
