Emma Scullion
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Hi, I’m Emma, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who has completed my Master’s in Counselling Psychology. My journey began with an undergrad degree in Therapeutic Recreation, and I’ve spent four years as a Recreation Therapist, mainly in forensic mental health. Working with trauma survivors ignited a passion in me for supporting individuals through their healing journey.

In my practice, I assist individuals facing various mental health difficulties, specializing in topics such as trauma, substance use, harm reduction, depression, and anxiety. Drawing from my lived experience with ADHD, I’m dedicated to supporting people in understanding neurodiversity and thriving.

Recognizing the uniqueness of every situation, my counseling approach is holistic, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I offer psychotherapy that incorporates various modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy.

As Maya Angelou beautifully expressed, “We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.” My goal is to support individuals as they progress along their wellness journey, encouraging them to value the characteristics that have carried them through. Seeking help may be challenging, but it is a testament to great strength. Let’s embark on this transformative journey together.
