Emma is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and practicum student, completing her Master’s in Counselling Psychology. She received her undergrad degree in Therapeutic Recreation and has been a Recreation Therapist for four years working mainly in forensic mental health. During her experience working with trauma survivors, she developed a passion for supporting individuals through their healing journey.

Emma helps individuals with a variety of mental health difficulties and specializes in counselling those who want to work through topics of trauma, substance use, harm reduction, depression and anxiety. Additionally, with her lived experience with ADHD, she stives to support people understand neurodiversity and learn to thrive.

Emma understands that every situation is unique and her approach to counselling is holistic, collaborative, and trauma-informed. She provides psychotherapy where she draws from a variety of therapeutic modalities including CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy.

Maya Angelou said, “We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.” Emma’s goal is to support people as they progress along their wellness journey; encouraging them to value the characteristics that got them through. While seeking help can be hard, change and transformation starts with great strength.
