Rita has an educational background in Kinesiology and Health Sciences and has over 20 years of experience working with traumatic brain injuries. She has worked with individuals of all ages and diverse populations and her clients have had a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, and trauma.
She is a registered psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and has completed her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. She is being clinically supervised by a Registered Psychotherapist and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner.
Rita has a passion for finding the approach that will work and tailoring treatment to meet every individual’s unique needs. Drawing from aspects of different theories such as CBT, mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, and narrative therapy, and using an integrative approach, can be valuable for providing flexible, personalized, and holistic treatment to address physical, emotional, and psychological needs. Rita has found that recognizing and incorporating strengths into treatment helps build hope, resilience, and coping skills to face life’s challenges.
